Tyler Mantel, robotics entrepreneur, creates nonprofit organization to develop new ventilator during COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, when it was clear that there would be shortage of ventilators, Tyler Mantel took a step away from his own work and began The Ventilator Project, a nonprofit organization that includes more than 250 people. Collectively, the group is working to get their ventilator, AIRA, to market. AIRA will solve problems that typical ventilators experience while being less expensive, easy to store, and scalable.
The Ventilator Project anticipates filing for an Emergency Use Authorization with the FDA in the next couple of weeks. Read more on MDDI.
