Where COVID-19 and Innovation Collide

It’s no shock that COVID-19 has changed (and will forever change) our lives, including the way we do business. Everyone, across every industry, has been challenged to get creative and innovate. Restaurants have created digital menus and mobile applications for online only orders. Fitness centers are providing tools for in-home exercise. Even taking your dog to the vet looks different now.

Healthcare is no exception in this changing world. The healthcare industry has often been at the forefront of advanced technologies. But now, the industry is being pressured to use technology and innovation to tackle age-old problems, like how to provide care to people in rural communities. It may not be the kind of innovative transformation we are used to seeing since the industrial revolution, or even the tech bubble of the late 1990s. But we are seeing COVID-19 serve as the catalyst of change for the way healthcare providers care for more people (despite less resources).
