Our recyclable film – LF-2035AVR – was developed with recyclability in mind. By using all polyolefin, when the pouch configuration is sealed to Tyvek®, the entire packaging solution can be recycled without the need for separation.
Our award-winning Dispos-a-vent barrier pouch eliminates the need for double packaging by incorporating a Tyvek® strip into a high-barrier foil pouch, resulting in a packaged device that can be sterilized while maintaining superior barrier properities. The objective of this medical plastic waste recycling pilot is to identify barriers to increasing non-hazardous medical plastic recycling rates at healthcare providers. Only a small percentage of plastics are recycled today. Plastic recycling at hospitals is less than 10%, which fills landfills, wastes natural resources, and increases carbon emissions.
