Material Science: A Game Changer for a More Sustainable Future?

As Bob Dylan once said … The Times, They Are A-Changin’. This year, though, that was even more true than ever before. Navigating the global pandemic, while simultaneously implementing EU MDR, made us all feel like the world was upside down. Slowly but surely, we are getting back to some semblance of normal, but there are some learnings we can take into the future with us.

First is the trend around regionalizing your healthcare supply chain. We shared an article recently from our global procurement leader, Brad McNett, on that trend earlier this year. Our local EMEA team has made this a critical focus and recently completed a project around regional supply. This resulted in the launch of a new series of regionally sourced packaging materials.

Med-Tech Innovation News recently sat down to interview Managing Director, Mandeep Sidhu, and Technical Leader, Tommy Smith, to discuss this launch. They talked about the medical device market in EMEA, how to navigate recent change, and their outlook on sustainability in medical packaging.
