As we all pull together in the fight against COVID-19, it is encouraging to read details about the FDA’s fast tracking of COVID-19 diagnostic tests under federal Emergency Use Authorization provisions. Clearly, innovation continues to aid in the fight against this pandemic. New diagnostic tests from Thermo Fisher Scientific and Mayo Clinic have now joined Roche’s <24-hr. FDA approval last week of the cobas SARS-COV-2 test. We look forward to news of their arrival in our communities.
